Stephanie Trejo

Therapist/LCSW

Hello! My name is Stephanie Trejo and I am excited to work alongside you as you begin this journey of self-exploration and healing. I aim to provide a space free of judgment, where you can feel safe and heard. Therapy is a very individualistic experience and may look different for everyone. My goal is to guide you in creating goals for your personal growth and empower you to utilize helpful coping skills in your everyday life.

I have always had an interest in understanding how our experiences shape our mind and behavior. I chose a field of study that would allow me to further explore the impact our environments have on our human experiences. I attended the University of California, Irvine where I received a B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society and a B.A. Psychology and Social Behavior. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have had the opportunity to work with children, adolescent and adults in various settings including community agencies, mental health agencies and schools. I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, family conflict, relationships issues and grief. I always strive to utilize an approach that is sensitive to your own needs and comfort while also encouraging your self-growth.

In my personal life, I am a wife and mommy to two little ones. We enjoy road trips, hiking and have made it a goal to visit different National Parks. The fall season is dedicated to Raider football (big Raider fans over here!) and I love attending Dodger games in the Spring. I enjoy my daily morning coffee, especially when it rains and I am a sucker for concerts! I grew up dancing Folklorico and have been teaching a group at a local community center for the past 9 years.

Becoming a mother really allowed me to become a lot more reflective and realize the importance of self-awareness. It has also made me realize the importance of appreciating the little things in life that bring us joy. We all juggle different roles in our lives and as much as we may enjoy these roles, it is understandable that it may all feel overwhelming at times. It is important that we allow ourselves the space and time to take care of our own well-being. For this reason, I am excited to work with others who are beginning their therapeutic journey!
